ABOUT BIRD SINK K9
Bird Sink K9 is located on 14 beautiful acres in Eastern Leon County. Owner, Mary Gray, is a former teacher who has transferred her knowledge of people to her passion for training dogs. Certified through industry leader, Top Tier K9, Mary enjoys helping people develop a strong relationship with their dog. Basic obedience is the foundation for such a relationship. Bird Sink K9 believes that there is no such thing as a "bad dog," only dogs that lack training. Utilizing a balanced approach to training and a structured program designed for your dog, Bird Sink K9 is determined to develop the bond between dog and owner. Each dog is trained in such a way as to bring out the full potential of the dog and its owner.
Board and Train
Bird Sink K9's Board and Train program is the most effective way to assure your pet gets off to the right start. With this service, your dog stays with us at our location for four weeks. An assessment is made and a specific program is developed to meet the needs of your dog and your family. Your dog will receive multiple training sessions throughout the day and be trained in various situations both inside and outside our facility. Field trips may also be taken to various locations in the area to train around people, dogs and other distractions.
During this program your dog will be trained in basic commands and will be returned to you with a strong set of obedience skills. Weekly training sessions are also held with the owner. A dog's training is only as good as the owners understanding of how to continue this training once the dog returns home.
We know it's hard to be away from your best friend for four weeks, but here at Bird Sink K9, we strive to make your dogs stay with us as comfortable as possible and your weekly visits a pleasant reunion with your pet.
